This course provides a basic understanding of required minimum distributions (RMDs) to IRA beneficiaries after an IRA owner's death. It focuses on the options available for calculating and reporting RMDs to beneficiaries after an IRA owner dies. The course covers the responsibilities of an IRA beneficiary and any financial organization serving as custodian/trustee of a traditional IRA, Savings Incentive Match Plans for Employees of Small Employers (SIMPLE) IRA, or Roth IRA.
