This course addresses regulations covering the sale of insurance products to consumers. These regulations cover insurance referrals, the manner of sale, and disclosures.

  • Know the types of products that are covered.
  • Differentiate between credit and sales disclosures.
  • Be able to explain key points of the required disclosures.
  • Provide disclosures both in the proper form, and at the proper time.
  • Obtain the consumer’s acknowledgment of receipt of the disclosure.
  • Ensure that insurance sales activities take place in the appropriate areas.
  • Distinguish between acceptable and prohibited insurance sales practices, and act accordingly.
